De Europese RadioAmateurs Organisatie kondigt een nieuwe "party on the air" aan, dit keer onder het motto: "stilte a.u.b., QRP in de ether". Vergeet niet dat dit geen contest is, het is gewoon een radio meeting met enkele eenvoudige 'regels', of beter aanbevelingen.

After more than a year of parties on the air, one in each season, EURAO looks back and sees five editions of this kind of activities:

• Autumn 2013: make new friends with classical phone
• Winter 2014: promoting HF Digital Voice
• Spring 2014: CW still alive and kicking
• Summer 2014: give youth a chance
• Autumn 2014: be digital, explore 30m

Recently, we found some time to prepare a pretty simple website that shows statistics of past EURAO Parties, mainly because we felt the pressure of received logs (hi hi).

Een lange weg werd afgelegd en een intense ervaring opgedaan sinds F5RCS midden 2005 om een Europese vereniging van radioamateurs op te richten.

In slechts 10 jaren heeft EURAO heel wat bereikt: leden in meer dan 50 landen, in en uiten Europa; het opzetten van een wereldwijde QSL dienst: erkenning door EU, UN, CEPT en ITU; economische stabiliteit; deelname aan HAM RADIO tentoonstellingen; het uitvoeren van projecten en activiteiten zoals diploma's, party's, noodcommunicatie oefeningen of jeugdbijeenkomsten; enz.

De Europese RadioAmateurs Organisatie, samen met de 30 Meter Digital Group , kondigt een nieuwe "party on the air" aan, dit keer onder het motto: "digitaal zijn, 30m verkennen". Vergeet niet dat dit geen contest is, het is gewoon een radio meeting met enkele eenvoudige 'regels', of beter aanbevelingen.

After the great welcome of the previous editions, it comes again the "sprint contest" version of the EANET Award, devoted to the "Radio Clubs of the World". It will be on November 9, 08:00-12:00 UTC.

In just four hours you can win original and funny prizes that you can share with your mate or friends: hotels, restaurants, wellness or adventures.

Moreover, you will have the opportunity to contact those radio clubs you still needed to complete the EANET Award.

EuroBureauQSL, the EURAO's QSL Bureaus Global Network, has an XML interface ready to provide simple information to external software and applications about whether an specific callsign can receive cards via this system. The answer is just: Yes or No.

"Associations in Europe - EURAO, an experience" was the title of the talk given by Jose Machado, CT1BAT, president of Tertúlia Radioamadorística Guglielmo Marconi, CS5TRGM, in the event organized by the Associação de Radioamadores do Ribatejo, CT1ARR, which took place last September in Almeirim.

Attendees discussed about this topic and how necessary it is associations work together for a better ham radio. In this article you can find the slide presentation in Portuguese and some pictures of the meeting.

The first European Emergency Communications Exercise held on September 27, was attended by hams from: Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Spain, UK, ... Pretty good for the first time.

Some of them participated only as listeners (SWL), others giving reports and a few sending and receiving messages.
